Chris welcomed everyone to the meeting.

• Apologies were recieved from Jamie Hanna, Anna Kent-Muller and Megan Downing.
• Catriona Rawlins, David Lawrence and Natalie Rowell were absent without apologies.

Jade Head, Frazer Delves and Sophia D'Angelico were also in attendance. 

The meeting was inquorate and the decisions made in this meeting will need to be ratified by the committee. 

The minutes were approved by the committee.

• Medical Society: Sophia explained that The Medical Society will soon become a Union Group instead of a Student Society. In order to formally accept the, this committee needs to vote on approving or rejecting the new by-law which sets the ground rules for how they interact with the Union and how we interact with them. This restructure means that the Medical Society President will be a Stduent Leader who will sit on Union Council. The Committee moved to a vote; 3 voted for. This by law was accepted. 
• Southampton University eSports Society: It was decided that this group met the criteria outlined in Rule 11, section 2. Committee moved to a vote; 2 voted for. This group was AFFILIATED and assigned to the Creative Industries Zone.
• Post Grad Ski Club: This group did not attend the affiliation meeting and therefore were not affiliated. This was the second meeting they had not attended and so their application was rejected.
• Accelerate into Banking: This group did not attend the affiliation meeting and therefore were not affiliated.
• Cardio Tennis: It was decided that this group did not meet the criteria outlined in Rule 11, section 2. Committee moved to a vote; 3 voted against. This group was NOT AFFILIATED. The committee recommended that they speak to the Tennis Club and ask if they can run a Cardio Tennis session through their club. 
• Beer Pong Society: It was decided that this group did not meet the criteria outlined in Rule 11, section 2 on the grounds that it did not have serious aims and objectives. There are also legal implications involved with drinking games. Committee moved to a vote; 3 voted against. This group was NOT AFFILIATED.
• Fine Dining Society: This group did not attend the affiliation meeting and therefore were not affiliated.
• HOPE not hate SUSU: It was decided that this group met the criteria outlined in Rule 11, section 2. Committee moved to a vote; 3 voted for. This group was AFFILIATED and assigned to the Sustainability Zone. The committee asked if they would be happy to change their name to 'University of Southampton Hope Not Hate Society'.  The student group agreed with this. 
• Physiotherapy Society: It was decided that this group met the criteria outlined in Rule 11, section 2. Committee moved to a vote; 3 voted for. This group was AFFILIATED and assigned to the Education Zone.
• Farm Africa Southampton: It was decided that this group met the criteria outlined in Rule 11, section 2. Committee moved to a vote; 3 voted for. This group was AFFILIATED and assigned to the External Engagement Zone. The committee asked if they could change their name to 'University of Southampton Farm Africa Society'. The student group agreed to this.
• Love the Oceans: It was decided that this group met the criteria outlined in Rule 11, section 2. Committee moved to a vote; 3 voted for. This group was AFFILIATED and assigned to the External Engagement Zone. To make it clear that this is a branch of the Love the Oceans group, the committee asked if they could change their name to 'University of Southampton Love the Oceans Society'. The student group agreed to this.
• EdPysc: It was decided that this group met the criteria outlined in Rule 11, section 2. Committee moved to a vote; 3 voted for. This group was AFFILIATED and assigned to the Education Zone. The committee asked if they could change their name to 'University of Southampton Education and Psychology Society'. The student group agreed to this.
• Pokemon: It was decided that this group met the criteria outlined in Rule 11, section 2. Committee moved to a vote; 3 voted for. This group was AFFILIATED and assigned to the Creative Industries Zone. The committee asked if they could change their name to 'University of Southampton Pokemon Society'. The student group agreed to this. The group were also asked to clarify their aims and objectives so that it was clear that the groups interest was in Pokemon.

There were no Zone changes to review.

There were no Support package changes to review.
