Hold a referendum for SUSU to lobby the University to reduce international students’ tuition fees.

Covid-19 has impacted all international students. We are uncertain about whether face-to-face teaching will resume on April 12th, 2021. Since we can only take all courses online until further notice, we cannot gain access to school libraries, academic support, career services, school events, and activities, as well as internships.

Many of us lost a lot of money on travel arrangements, such as plane tickets, as well as rent for accommodation we are not able to use.

The university is not providing a high quality education, there are often connection issues during lectures, and our learning experience has been considerably affected. 

As international students we pay huge tuition fees and are currently not able to fully engage with our course or with our course mates.  We ask that the university acknowledges the impact Covid-19 has had, particularly on international students, and reduces our tuition fees.
