1. Welcome and Introductions

Michael Sims welcomed the committee to a new academic year.

2. Affiliations

Nic Eldred confirmed that all groups who's affiliation requests were being heard at the meeting had met the Union rules on having a valid constitution. The following groups were to be considered:-

  • Society of Natural Sciences
  • Doctors of the World
  • Thai Society
  • Future Frontiers
  • Rollball Club
  • Luxury Lifestyle Society
  • Canadian Law Society
  • Natural History Society
  • Seventh Day Adventists Society

3. Funding Round 2 Dates

Nic Eldred updated the committee that funding applicaitons would be decided in Janurary and asked if an applicaiton period over November and December would be acceptable and fit in with student term commitments.

4. Bunfight: Student Groups Fayre Feedback

Due to time lack of time it was not possible to collect feedback from the Bunifght: student groups fayre. NE said that all groups had had the opportunity to feedback via online form

Action Nic Eldred to circulate a request for feedback to committee members
5. Any Other Business

Cameron Meldrum reported that the Student Groups Review has begun for this year with a far reaching remit.  Reports will be given at each Student Groups Commitee and consultation will happen with groups and groups reps as the project progresses
