Bhangra Society
Southampton Bhangra Society is a community created to spread the art of Bhangra throughout our University. We are running weekly classes, focusing on creating a safe space for all students to dance, with the opportunity to dance competitively. We encourage students from all backgrounds!
The Southampton Bhangra Society offers an exciting membership for students and community members passionate about Bhangra, a vibrant Punjabi dance form.
Membership provides access to regular Bhangra dance classes, workshops, and performance opportunities at university events and cultural events.
Members also enjoy a close-knit, supportive community, social events, and the chance to represent Southampton at national Bhangra competitions.
It's perfect for anyone looking to stay active, celebrate Punjabi culture, and meet like-minded individuals in a fun, energetic environment. No prior dance experience is required, just a love for Bhangra and a willingness to learn!
