Model United Nations
SOTONMUN is a society dedicated to those who enjoy discussing politics and international relations, as well as a wide variety of other issues that individuals are facing day-to-day. When participating in the Model United Nations, you take on the role of a delegate, representing countries from around the world in a wide range of committee's, discussing issues that range from environmental problems, to education, to international security and more! You will have the opportunity to attend a variety of conferences in the UK and abroad such as LIMUN and our very own SOTONMUN. Not only is Model United Nations an excellent addition to any CV, but also the lessons you learn and the people you meet are truly unique to MUN. People from all walks of life, thinking in different ways is sure to both challenge and hone your view of the world. We meet every Tuesday at 18:00PM, in Building 100, Room 4011. These are the current membership fees offered by Model United Nations, although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.
