Rugby (Women's)
At SUWRFC we welcome all players of mixed abilities, whether you've never played before or have represented your county. We have two teams. Our first team plays in Western 2A and we have development team that play friendlies against other universities and local clubs. We are one of the fastest growing sports club at the university so please come along to our taster session on 28th September 2024 or our training sessions which run twice a week all at wide lane. We welcome new players throughout the year! Training Sessions are held at Wide Lane Sports Ground. SUWRFC welcomes all abilities of rugby players, whether you've never been on a pitch before or have represented your county, there is a spot for you.
We have two teams within our squad; the development team is perfect for those who have never played before or are looking to get their confidence up and our competitive team is great if you're more experienced! No matter what stage you are in your rugby progression we offer high standard coaching, ensuring you are playing to the best of your ability. We are a close knit, supportive squad that is almost a ready made family for you within university!

Our taster session is 28th September 3-5pm at Wide Lane and we look forward to seeing you there.
We train Monday 6-8, and Friday 5-7, with games being played on Wednesday afternoons and socials taking place on Wednesday evenings. Make sure to follow our social media pages for further information.

These are the current membership fees offered by Rugby (Women's), although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.
