RoboSoc
RoboSoc is a space to build robots and collaborate with others, open to anyone interested - no prior experience required! Join us for hands-on hardware, electronics, and programming, and to meet other DIY enthusiasts.
We meet weekly in a workshop space where we hang out, and design and build robots!
All skill levels are welcome, including those with no previous experience with robots. The best way to learn is to get involved, in a supportive environment where other members can help out.
Members can work together on projects using RoboSoc tools and materials. There are some ongoing projects to get involved with but we're happy to talk about supporting new and novel ones! Example projects include small autonomous rovers, robotic limbs, and an automatic electromagnet chess board.
If you're interested in robotics as a medium for STEM outreach to younger students, also check out the Southampton Robotics Outreach society!
