PhySoc FC

Physoc F.C. is 11-a-side football club that plays in the University of Southampton Intramural league on Sundays. As well as playing matches, we host weekly training sessions on the common where anyone can come along and play without commitment to playing in the Sunday matches. We welcome people of any footballing ability, we have members who are just starting to play football as well members who have been playing for years. You don't need to be a physicist to join, we have many members from a number of different degrees. There is no joining fee as well as no trials because we believe that football should be freely available for everyone to play. Don't be fooled by the name, many people's initial perception of a physics football team is clouded by negative stereotypes, but we are a competitive team trying to rise through the divisions of the IM Sunday league.
