Bruneian Society

The Brunei Southampton Society (BruSton) aims to be a welcoming community and a safe space for all students living in the UK from overseas. As well as being a home away from home for Bruneian students, we try to promote our culture and values to other students that are interested in learning.

As a society, our main goal is to provide comfort and familiarity with students hailing from Brunei Darussalam and maintaining the students’ welfare within the community. We also act as a point of contact for concerns towards both the University Administration and The Brunei Students' Union in the U.K. & Eire. We also aim to share our culture with non-Bruneian students through social gatherings and activities. Events that we host also serve as get-togethers and a way to bond with other members of the society. Additionally, for students coming to the University of Southampton for the first time, we offer support to help them adjust to their new international student life.
