Welsh and Celtic Society

We as the Welsh and Celtic Society seek to welcome all students who consider themselves Welsh, Scottish or Irish to the University of Southampton with open arms. Our aim is to make you feel a member of a welcoming family of students from the various Celtic nations who we hope you will in time feel a strong closeness with and feel a part of! Rydyn ni fel y Gymdeithas Gymreig a Cheltaidd yn ceisio i groesawu pob myfyriwr sy'n ystyried eu hunain yn Gymraeg, Albanaidd neu Wyddelig i brifysgol Southampton. Ein nod yw creu deulu croesawgar sy'n cynnwys amrywiaeth o genhedloedd Celtaidd, a phwy fyddech chi yn teimlo fel aelod o mewn amser.

Our typical activities include organising socials that celebrate the major holidays/festivals that we are familiar with. For example, St David's Day, St Patrick's Day, Burns Night.

We also make sure to watch and support our national teams in international football and rugby fixtures such as the Six Nations Championship.

Mae ein digwyddiadau tebygol yn cynnwys trefnu gweithgareddau sy'n dathlu gwyliau rydyn ni'n gyfarwydd a. Er enghraifft, Dydd Gŵyl Dewi, Dydd Sant Padrig a Burns Night.

Rydyn ni hefyd yn wneud yn siŵr i wylio a chefnogi ein timau cenedlaethol mewn gemau rhyngwladol pêl-droed a rygbi fel y chwe gwlad.

Mae aelodaeth yn ofynnol i gymryd rhan ym mhob digwyddiad oherwydd pryderon yswiriant ac i bleidleisio yn ein AGM blynyddol.
