The Organisers
The PGR Parent Network started in September 2023. The group aims to provide a space for people experiencing life as a PhD student and a parent. Both activities are time and emotionally demanding and the founders bonded over discussing such challenges. We soon realised that, despite feeling alone in this challenging situation, there was a chance that many people like us were struggling alone, so we created the network. We run talks, seminars, and social activities. We also represent the voice of PGR Parents with the Doctoral College (DC) and the Early Years Centre.
