University isn’t just a place it’s a community, a home, a shared experience that shapes who we become. As someone who’s lived across cultures, from the heart of Belgrade to the vibrant student life in Southampton, I know what it means to build connections, to find belonging, and to create spaces where every voice matters.
Coming from an international and multicultural, I’ve learned the power of diversity how different cultures, ideas, and traditions can come together to create something greater. I’ve organized charity initiatives to support rural communities, worked on tech projects that bring people together, and volunteered in the arts to give stories a stage. Now, I want to bring that same energy and passion to our university.
As VP Communities, I won’t just represent societies I will celebrate them. Every student group, from the smallest niche interest to the biggest cultural movement, deserves visibility, funding, and recognition. I’ll push for easier access to resources, better collaboration between societies, and stronger university support for student-led initiatives.
Housing and student welfare aren’t just policies they’re real issues that affect our daily lives. I will fight for fairer rental agreements, better accommodation conditions, and stronger support for students facing housing challenges. No student should feel isolated or unheard when it comes to their living situation.
Events are the heartbeat of university life. From cultural festivals that bring us closer to our roots to student-led initiatives that challenge and inspire, I want to make sure every idea has the chance to become reality. More funding, more spaces, more opportunities because student life should be more than just lectures.
But beyond societies and events, I want to create something more a true student home. A space where we don’t just pass by, but where we belong. Imagine a real common room, not just a place to sit, but a place to be where students can eat together, connect, and feel part of something bigger. A space that makes it easier to meet people, form friendships, and turn this university into one big family. Because when we feel at home, we thrive.
And let’s be honest university life isn’t complete without great parties! That’s why I’ll establish a student party organization to ensure we have regular, well-organized, and unforgettable faculty wide events. More themed nights, better venues, and parties that bring students together like never before. The organization will also help societies organize and fund their socials. Therefore all student gatherings, small and large will be unforgettable.
Above all, leadership isn’t about speaking it’s about listening. I don’t just want to represent you, I want to amplify your voice, your ideas, and your dreams for our community.
If you believe in a university that thrives on culture, connection, and community so do I. Let’s build it together.
