Why vote for Anwen Dyban-Sully?
I am a passionate Civil Engineering student, currently in Part 4 of the degree. If elected as your Civil and Environmental Engineering Department President, I’ll be dedicated to ensuring your voice is heard, by working with the Course Representatives and the department to improve the student experience. My role as a Course Representative in Part 2 (2022/23) and previous involvement on the CivSoc committee (2022/23) have equipped me with the skills to effectively communicate ideas, facilitate collaboration between the department and students, and encourage active student participation. As a proud representative of women in a male-dominated field, I bring a diverse perspective, enriched by my study abroad experience last year at the University of Tokyo. This unique opportunity of studying Civil Engineering at a different institution has given me a broader educational outlook, which I will apply to my approach in this role. If elected, I look forward to making a meaningful and positive impact on the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Southampton University.
