Why vote for Finn Pearson?
I am a current third year Ancient History student and am primarily interested in Roman history, particularly the Julio-Claudian dynasty. I have developed a desire over my two years of study to impact change and create a better environment for history students to work in. If elected President I will work tirelessly to represent the views of each and every student in the department and will always be open to any questions, queries and concerns that any of you may have. My primary goal as President will be to increase the chances of everyone achieving a higher mark in assignments. I will achieve this by campaigning for assignment feedback to be much more in depth, for model assignments to be shown to students so that we have a better idea of what is expected of us and for there to be assignment help and feedback sessions held in every module. I will campaign for a greater focus on student wellbeing and will request for it to be made compulsory for lectures to be recorded and PowerPoints to be put on Blackboard. I am also aware of the lack of module choices that Ancient History students are provided with and will campaign for a greater range of module to be made available. Thank you very much for reading and I look forward to representing you all if I am voted in as President.
