Why vote for Renee Zhu?

Hello Gerontology Department!

I’m Renee Zhu, and I’m running for your next Department President – the person who’s ready to take on the challenge of leading our amazing community. 🎓

Why me? Well, with eight years of student council leadership experience under my belt and a passion for improving the lives of older adults, I believe I’m equipped to bring fresh ideas and a strong voice to the table. Whether it was organizing activities in a senior community or helping rural elderly women promote their handmade embroidery, my journey has always been about making a real impact – and I want to continue that journey with you.

If you elect me, I promise to be the President who listens to you. My top priority will be making sure your concerns and ideas are heard, loud and clear, by the department. I’ll also focus on organizing engaging events, connecting us to leading experts, and creating opportunities to enhance both our academic and professional experiences. And don’t worry – there’ll still be time for a bit of fun along the way!

I’m organized, approachable, and fully committed to ensuring our department thrives. So, if you want a president who will advocate for you, make things happen, and maybe crack a joke or two, I’m your candidate!

Thanks for your support – let’s make this year unforgettable!

Best,
Renee
