Why vote for Lisa Naughton?
On of my key focuses is on supporting mental health. Over the years, I have experienced anxiety, depression, PTSD, and OCD. In 2016, I lost a friend during his undergrad, which highlighted the need for better support systems which I would love to introduce. I would also like to introduce support groups, ensuring representation for neurodiverse students. I have ADHD and dyspraxia, so I understand how important having support is. I would provide welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ individuals, including decision-making input from within the community, not just by those deciding for them. As someone who does not drink, events not centred around alcohol are important to enhance inclusivity. Advocacy for women's safety, including that of trands women and women of colour, including practical measures like secure drink lids and group activities for women to have fun without fear. Overall, my aim is to be an inclusive voice, listening to all concerns and ensuring everyone feels heard, represented, and supported in their university experience.
