Why vote for Aaron Gulotta?
Hello everyone,
I'm Aaron, a second-year student in Chemistry with Medicinal Sciences.
I’ve had the opportunity to serve as Course Rep in both my first and second year, where I've built strong relationships with academics and staff, working alongside them to address feedback and solve issues that have been raised by my cohort. Thanks to your feedback, I've achieved tangible results like changing assessment types in some practicals for year 1 labs and implementing further workshop lectures for certain modules. Being awarded Course Rep of the Month in December 2023 speaks to our collaborative efforts and my commitment to providing detailed feedback and statistics.
If elected as your School President, I'll continue to represent your voices effectively, ensuring they're heard at every level of decision-making. My goals include:
- To continue my efforts to ensure equitable modes of assessment for students with special learning requirements, advocating for additional time in labs for their submissions.
- To be a reliable point of contact for our community and fellow student reps fostering cohesive collaboration to implement positive adjustments according to your feedback
- To enhance student support by working closely with our Department to improve access to academic resources, mental health support, and career guidance, ensuring that every student receives the assistance they need to succeed.
With your support, I'm confident we can create positive change and make our school an even better place for learning and growth. Thank you for considering me as your next School President!
