Why vote for Neo Yang?
Hey! I’m Neo and I’m a current Mechanical Engineering Course Representative going into my final year. As a committed course representative this past year, I've seen firsthand the power of student representation, and the positive impacts it could bring to the overall experiences of many students. I’ve also understood how to effectively bring about changes that directly address students’ frustrations and comments. For these reasons, I'm confident to lead as your Faculty Representative and to keep on improving our time here at Southampton. Here's what I stand for:
- Addressing Every Single Piece of Feedback: I will serve as the main contact for all School and Department Presidents, ensuring every frustration and comment from students within our Faculty is heard and acted upon, with tangible results to assure students that their voices are taken seriously.
- Strengthening Student-University Relations: I'm committed to fostering a positive relationship between the University and student representatives, ensuring our concerns are addressed effectively and in time. I will also push for more opportunities and support to be made available to all of us as to better prepare us for our future careers in addition to what our courses offer.
- Effective Feedback Mechanisms: I'll establish robust feedback channels to gather student input on any experiences whether it be academic or general, advocating for changes and improvements that solve any issues that students face, and to share them with course representatives who will then report back to each individual cohort.
Together, we can shape a faculty that truly represents and serves every student. Your vote for me is a vote for positive change and effective representation. Thank you.
