Why vote for Tawshipa Jarin?
Hello,
I am Tawshipa Jarin, an Engineering Foundation Year student, and I am running to be your SUSU senator.
Throughout my time at school, I have held several leadership positions. I was the Deputy College Leader and class prefect for consecutive six years. I am a lover of Physics and Poetry. In addition, I was my debating club's deputy general secretary and currently sit on the University of Southampton Debating Union committee. I have worked with a huge student body with diverse needs. This makes me confident of representing your views and bringing the needed change.
As a Senator, I pledge to:
- Actively seek and consider student input in decision-making processes
- Ensure transparency in decision-making and committee actions
- Work towards making student government more accessible, both physically and digitally
University life is a crucial time in every student’s life. As an international student, I understand how difficult it is to adjust to the significant adjustment when starting university. I want to make university a joyful experience for everyone, irrespective of nationality, religion, gender, etc., and ensure this voice doesn’t go unheard.
Vote for me to be your next Senator; make an impact now!
