Governance

The University of Southampton Students’ Union is structured as a limited company which all students at the University are a member of (and therefore own), and which is also a registered charity. This company owns a second limited company called SUSU Social Enterprises Ltd., which conducts some trading with non-members and other activities. Both companies file an annual report and accounts, which you can find here: facts and figures.

Finally, the By-laws go into more detail about the democratic governance of our student activities.

A separate Schedule of Delegated Authority is approved by the Trustee Board to delegate work to the sub-committees of the Board and authorise the day to day operational activity carried out by the SUSU staff team.
