The Persian New Year, known as Nowruz, is a celebration of renewal and the arrival of spring. Observed for over 3,000 years, Nowruz is deeply rooted in Persian culture and is celebrated by millions worldwide. It begins on the vernal equinox, typically March 21st, and lasts for about two weeks. Nowruz heralds the arrival of spring and the rebirth of nature after the cold, dark days of winter. The word “Nowruz” itself translates to “New Day,” reflecting the essence of renewal and hope that permeates this vibrant festival.
