Campaigning has officially started in the 2025 Leadership Elections!
Candidates are now out and about, sharing their ideas and plans for how they’d shape student life if elected. Whether it’s improving societies, championing mental health, or making university life even more fun, there are plenty of passionate students eager to make a difference.
This election will decide your next Union President, as well as Vice Presidents for Sports, Education, Inclusion, and Communities. These roles are super important in making sure students’ voices are heard and shaping everything from student support to events and activities.
What’s Happening?
- Campaigning: Now until 11th March – Keep an eye out for social media posts, and chats with candidates!
- Voting: Opens 09:00 11th March and closes 16:00 13th March – Make sure you have your say!
How Can You Get Involved?
- Read the manifestos – Check out what each candidate is promising!
- Ask questions – Many candidates will be hosting Q&A sessions on @union_soton Instagram or you can ask questions directly on their manifesto pages.
