There is just one day left to nominate yourself for SUSU’s Leadership Elections, as they close at 16:00, Friday 21st February. This is your last chance to step up and make a difference in student life at the University of Southampton.
Becoming a Sabbatical Officer is a unique opportunity to represent students on key issues such as academic experiences, welfare, sports, equality, and student communities. These are full-time, paid positions (£25,000 per year), allowing you to gain valuable leadership experience with full training and support from SUSU.

How to Nominate Yourself
To stand as a candidate, you will need to submit:
- A manifesto (up to 500 words) outlining your ideas, priorities, and plans for the role.
- summary of your manifesto in up to five short bullet points, as these will be the key details most students will read when voting.
